What this means for you
EES is the EU’s digital border register. On your first entry since April 2026 you give a facial image and, from age 12, four fingerprints at the border. It is free, needs no application and replaces passport stamps. It applies to all non-EU short-stay visitors in 29 countries, with or without a visa.
